About
Education and early career
Dr. Ali has received M.Sc. and M.Phil. degrees in physics at the department of physics Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad, Pakistan in 2012 and 2014, respectively. He has concluded his Ph.D. thesis entitled: Novel applications of metamaterials and plasmonics to optical tweezing: directional scattering, chiral resolution and pulling forces in 2020. He has sixteen first author paper including four single author.
Research Interests
Optical manipulation of chiral sphere using tweezers where we have developed the methods for characterization and chiral resolution of single chiral nanocrystals.
I also worked on the optimization of the spin hall shift of light using chiral sphere.
Current projects: Space time metamaterials, Beam shifts near the Exceptional points
